Scope of works:
The following scope of work has been developed based on on-site discussions regarding the addition of an elevator to improve accessible access. This scope outlines the tasks required to carry out a feasibility study for the project:
Conduct on-site measurements to document and understand the existing building layout.
Review the proposed elevator product in consultation with a structural engineer.
Review the National Building Code of Canada with respect to exiting routes and egress requirements.
Review the New Brunswick Barrier-Free Design Building Code Regulation, assessing accessibility requirements including path of travel, potential washroom adjustments, width clearances, and other relevant provisions.
Prepare a final report summarising our findings.
Coordinate with the City of Saint John building inspection team to confirm requirements from the local authority having jurisdiction.
Prepare a proposal outlining a sequential work plan to advance towards a building permit set following the feasibility study.
Not included:
Please note that the following services are not included in the design fee and may be added to the project team if desired or needed: Engineering Consultants (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural), Site Survey, Fire Protection Consultant, Permits, Contoured Site Survey , Geotechnical Investigation, Landscape Architecture, Alternative solution (code review), Hazardous Material Report, Energy Modelling, Significant scope changes.
Hourly Rate for additional scope outsite of scope:
Senior Architect 175$CAD/hr
Junior Desinger 115$CAD/hr
Dafting Technologist 85$CAD/hr
Administration 75$CAD/hr
** This proposal remains valid for 30 days (August 3,2025) from the date of issuance.
Terms and Conditions:
The Feasibilty Review will begin upon receipt of full payment.
Upon signing this Agreement, osda Architecture & Consulting Inc. will issue an e-invoice. Work will commence once full payment has been received. Timely payment is required to initiate services.
“osda” is a registered business name of osda Architecture & Consulting Inc.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada.
